Gold or Silver today?

What would you buy with your FRNs today?

Have to go with Silver.

Gold is at record highs and hasn't had a correction in a couple of weeks, it's due for one.

Silver is finally well above $18/oz but still very undervalued.

Best get rid of them FRNs while you still can ;)

I voted for both..................nibble on gold and concentrate on silver at these current prices.

Thanks William. You and I seem to be thinking along the same lines this morning. It must be scary for you.

Prices seem to be lofty here, so the decision to buy would depend on what you have. If you are adding to a healthy accumulation I'd wait. If you are a beginner, yeah buy a little cuz you don't want to have none if the plug gets pulled.

Having said that, I'm always in the "both" camp. There are good reasons for owning each, so why wouldn't you want both?

I am buying silver for a long term investment. It will go up over the next ten - twenty years. Even if it doesn't, it will still beat inflation.

people that paid >$25 per ounce in 1980 are still losing on their silver investment 30 years later. Stick with gold since it's a winner.

Re: Gold or Silver today?

Heck PEOPLE that bought over $18.00 (LAST YEAR!) just want to get even;
after they work DUMP their way through that we'll see a NEW $25 ish high.

Then a park; then a $50 run to the MOON; then a park; then a GALAXY shot depending upon all the TRILLIONS & TRILLIONS made then - not the 5 trillion NOW coming for Health - THEN the 20 to 50 Trillion.

France 1790 to 1797

Germany 1920 to 1924

watch the ratios

Geat post. If you have no PMs, buy some ASAP, but don't spend your last dime! But if, like me, you already have some, wait for a pullback and hope it comes.

Okay, I voted "Other".

Don't get me wrong, I am always adding to my silver stack.....

BUT PLATINUM....It has gotten a kick in the pants lately. :9536:

I have not seen much at the dealers, but I always keep enough FRNs to pick up fractionals when I come across them at a reasonable price! I never have enough for a full ounce, but even the small ones add up after awhile.

I voted gold. Probably because I picked some up yesterday and I'm tryng to convince myself I made the right move.

Yeah but be careful and do not let a body of water "take possession" of your PM's and your boat. I lost track of how many GIMers were victims of "boating accidents". The number of "boating accident" victims on GIM seem to increase by the day. :111:

Just got my shipment of GIM rounds, SAE's and a Gold Buffalo so I picked gold and silver.:emotions16: BTW, those GIM rounds (got both types) are really nice.:clap2:

Re: Gold or Silver today?

I picked gold due to my stack having a heavy silver bias already.

People that paid $4 per ounce in 1992 are doing pretty good on thier silver investment 17 years later. Those poor people that paid 25 plus in 80 could of still dollar cost averaged past 30 years and today still be way ahead at todays current prices.

Assuming you owned none, I would buy both...

If you already own both, I would still say buy both...

Gold/silver allocation: 75/25

Sold my old pickup truck today. Without a doubt some of its going into PM's. Think Im buying a little of each (including pd). Of course, deal was supposed to go down a few weeks ago, and have watched prices steadily rise since.
